Hot Docs 2007starts today and runs for the next 11 days. I love documentaries!
It’s been a long five years. I can tell you for sure I’m savoring this moment.
The worst part is not committing to any plans for the last two weeks because I need to wait for the first round playoff schedule!

The Raptors playoff season gets started this weekend. But a question - with the “Canadian colours” uniform change, it’s not called Purple Fever anymore is it?
EDIT: The Raptors are officially asking fans to wear red to home playoff games. It’s still got no name…
Lets go Raptors! Clap clap clap clap clap!

Here’s a tip when you have a personal blog which anyone on the internet can read. Don’t ever mention that you used to buy Pogs. Unless you encounter a Pog related website that you couldn’t resist but share.
Pogs never really caught on for my friends in elementary. It was nothing like the marble craze, that’s for sure. But never the less they were collectable and I had to have them (see post 9 of 100). Whyohwhy would I ever bring up Pogs here? Well, for starters I’m a huge dork. And more importantly I found my way to the Pog article on Wikipedia. I think I’ve found my new favorite page on Wikipedia.
Some fun Pog-facts:
* POG stands for Passionfruit, Orange and Guava
* The US Army and Air Force use Pogs instead of money
* Playing POGs for keeps was so popular on school playgrounds, some schools saw it as a form of gambling and banned them
* Nowadays Pogs are used to cure AIDS.
Who knew?! Does anyone want to have a Pog tournament?

Whole Foods Market : Stores : Toronto I was wondering if Whole Foods would ever come to Canada. I always read about them in the NYTimes. Go fig, they’ve been in Toronto since 2002!
AUTENTIC QUEBEC STYLE POUTINE IN T.O According to Chowhound members, the best poutine in Toronto is either the Utopia Cafe on College… or Costco.

When I was very young, I used to be fascinated by all sorts of collectable items. If it was called a “collectable item”, I probably wanted it. I had it all. Coins, stamps, and baseball cards would be expected from a typical 8 year old boy. But oh no, I had to take it several steps farther.
There was the penny collection - where I sorted thousands of Canadian pennies into groupings by year. My prized possession was a King George penny from the 1930s or something.
One school year I saved all my TTC bus transfers. I have no idea what possessed me to do that, but boy did I spend a lot of hours thinking about transfers over the years.
I’m pretty sure that a lot of my friends were embarassed by the Joe Smith, Alpha Flight, Pokemon, Bad Badtz Maru collections. I… I just had to collect them all! And holy crap do I have a lot of toys.
Collections can say a lot about a person. More specifically - I have way too much junk, and should learn how to use a garbage can… I really learned to embrace consumer culture very early on. I often wonder what the heck I’d be spending my time on if I lived in a different time. Probably a very extensive rock and comb collection.
On a side note. I’ve just realized that if I write 100 posts about myself, I will have outted myself as the dorkiest person on the entire planet.
Student Life Centre I’ve archived the former studentlifecentre.com website. I let the domain expire in February.
Flickr: Camera Finder: Kodak: EasyShare V603 Zoom You can now search Flickr by camera model. Obviously there are people who take much better pictures than me.
BattleBricks: WiigoBot, The Perfect Game My new hero built a robot out of lego to bowl a perfect game in Wii Sports.
Timbaland is trying the solo album thing again.
Even when he doesn’t have the microphone, Timbaland often overshadows whoever does. He’s not one of those musical therapists who make singers sound more like themselves. On the contrary, he prides himself on challenging his clients. They have to find a way to work around his weird beats. (Many of his productions don’t really make sense until you hear them a few times; he loves songs that sound wrong at first.)
