For the long weekend, a bunch of the boys went out to Sandbanks Provincial Park where we got our camp on. Sandbanks is 2 and a half hours east of Toronto, and it’s beachfront lies on Lake Ontario.
After a couple years of really unpleasant camping experiences, we were all set on getting some good outdoors-ness in. The plans were set - three nights, a full day to chill on the beach, and a full day to hike/bike/canoe/soak in nature. We even checked the weather, all was to be sunny and good times were bound to be had.
You can’t trust the weather forcasts though! Because franky, the weather sucked. Donkeys. So aside from overcoming and striving past the engine failures, arriving just as the park entrance was closing, missing several camping essentials, there’s no fun when in rains… constantly… each and every day.
C.J. was probably the most disappointed as he had been looking forward to the trip for probably the better part of the year. Nathan was determined to darken several hundred shades, and Francis was just happy we were there after endless transportation issues.
The trip did have its highlights though. Three hours of non-stop ultimate on the hot summer beaches (the only sun before the rain) is heavenly. We have a great surf and turf buffet in Belleville after retreating to town after the first rain-out. Car ferries are cool. And of course:
Francis: I learned this new word, but I don’t know what it means but it sounds cool. I’m going to say it when i punk people off… Sodomized!!

Star Wars 3 - Revenge of the Sith is officially showing in North America in less than four hours. Pre-sales are breaking all sorts of records, and there’s no doubt that the hype is big.
SW3 attempts to put some closure on some of the greatest mythology of my time. And although I haven’t been a big Star Wars fan, I’ll buy into the hype once again.
The first two movies (The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones), were critically panned. It was obvious why, the Gorgons were annoying as hell, after 20 years of imagining, even the action sequences seemed uninspired. I enjoyed them merely for the birth of the Empire.
But this one is supposed to erase all the mistakes of the past. Promsing to satisfy hardcore fans and non-beleivers alike, and so far the reviews have been good. Rotten Tomatos 83% Fresh. If it sucks, I’ll just go back to playing with my Luke and Stormtrooper figures.
Also, the Darth Vader Voice Changing Mask is the greatest toy of the last 1000 years. There, I said it.
