Monthly Archive for March, 2003
Mu knows what day it is tomorrow. My brown twin would always rock out with me on the thirteenth of March each year, a day when the king of kings was born. Sadly, we have parted ways, and we can no longer get our bday on in true gifted fashion (parking lot hockey and video games!). So to you my friend Mu, I highly recommend some hockey and videogames be injected into your system tomorrow. And you need not worry about me. Tomorrow, I’m playing NHL 2003 on the dope ol’ Xbox.
it doesn’t stop! last friday i finally finished a dreamcast game i was working on. about halfway through the ending, these dumbass losers came over and started to hog the tv, so i had to wait almost three hours just to finish the dumb ending to the game. and not to mention that the ending sucked so i was all hyped about nothing, and the ending of the game was way too easy.
and in true demonstration of my geekyness, i spent all of saturday in a seminar about programmable logic circuits. i don’t know if i should be surprised that i found it interesting. the classic moment was when the professor couldn’t figure out how to set up a circuit, and up comes ian mackenzie at the break and solves it for the class. like you’d expect anything less from the guy.
i went all the way back to the parents’ house that daynot even for 24 hours. in that time, i was able to pick up two new video games, a book about video games, a playstation2 and played game boy advance on the trip there and back. the moment i stepped into my house in the ‘loo, i hooked up the ps2 and played. i’m totally hooked on kingdom hearts and i’m convinced i’m going to fail this term. but it’s totally worth it. i’ve also been playing mario kart advance every second i have free. when you can fit mario kart in your pocket, can there ever be an excuse not to play?
hello, my name is benny and i’m addicted to videogames. i walk down the halls of the engineering buildings humming super mario bros. baselines. i draw streetfighter 2 turbo scenes on my notes in class. i’m planning on naming my kids after characters from final fantasy. when i should be working, i’m thinking/writing/playing videogames. when i ride in cars, i pretend i ran over a question mark block, picked up a red shell and am firing at my enemies. my winamp does nothing except play videogame music. i tried to apply to work on ea sports games or the sims (though highly underqualified).
i just need to survive the end of the term, then i can fully dedicate my life to videogames. until then, i think this blog will be filled with videogame quotes until i can get all this videogame energy out of me. and at least i’m admitting i have a problem.
it’s turtle time! let’s kick shell!
